Co-opted Governor Vacancies

SMART Multi Academy Trust has 8 Primary Schools based in North West Newcastle and all have 1 or 2 vacancies for Co-opted governors. This is an exciting time for the trust as all schools have been inspected by Ofsted recently and judged good. Local Governing Boards of our schools work with the Trustees and the executive leadership to deliver good governance which empowers schools to transform the learning and life chances of the pupils.

Most schools hold full local governing board meetings 4 times per year with some additional meetings and monitoring visits. Most meetings take place at the schools and start between 4:00pm and 5:00pm. We are looking for governors with commitment, a passion for improving education and raising the aspirations of young people in our community.
