Feedback from the Investing in Children's Award Assessor:
'On behalf of the children that I spoke to on my visit, I recommend that Stocksfield Avenue Primary School be awarded their Investing in Children’s Award™. From the children that I met with, it was obvious that that they had felt their voices were heard and they were listened to. I recommend that they continue to support the children and act upon their views.
When I asked if they felt the school should receive the award they said yes. “Teachers are good and I feel liked”. “They work together with us. Sometimes we give ideas. For example we asked if we could wear heelys. We were told no because of safety. My mam would probably say no as well. That’s fair at least we were heard”. “We asked for hula hoops and we got them” I would like to thank the children that I met for allowing me to have an insight into their school life.
Conclusion: Therefore on behalf of the children I met I recommend that Stocksfield Avenue Primary School achieves the award again for another year'
Congratulations to all involved from the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer of SMART Multi Academy Trust, on a fantastic achievement.

Stocksfield Avenue school's feedback from their submission, was extremely exciting:
'Reviewers Comment: A great deal of effort and strategic thinking has gone into both the programme and the submission to ensure that the criteria for silver would be met, as indeed they have been!
